Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: 12/10/2026
1. About us and these terms:
1.1 These terms apply to everyone who books, plays, trains, takes a membership, buys a voucher or
visits Padel Tide. By booking or using our facilities, you agree to them.
1.2 Padel Tide is operated by Padel Tide Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company
number 16437714). Our courts are at Falmouth Cricket Club, Trescobeas Road, Falmouth, Cornwall. We
are VAT registered, and all prices include VAT unless stated otherwise.
1.3 In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Padel Tide Ltd. “You” means the person booking or using
the facilities. “Member” means someone with a current Tide Membership or Founding Tide
Membership. “Guest” means anyone who is not a member.
1.4 You can contact us at info@padeltide.co.uk.
1.5 Our bookings are made through Playtomic. Playtomic’s own terms also apply to your use of its app
and website. If they conflict with these terms on anything about our facilities or services, these terms
apply.
1.6 Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
2. Bookings and payment:
2.1 All court bookings, coaching sessions and classes are made and paid for through Playtomic. A
booking is confirmed once payment has been taken and you receive a confirmation.
2.2 You must be 18 or over to make a booking. A parent or guardian may make bookings on behalf of
their child and is responsible for that booking under these terms.
2.3 Court hire is charged per court, per hour. Current prices and peak, off-peak and super off-peak times
are shown on Playtomic and our website. We may change prices from time to time, but changes will not
affect bookings already confirmed.
2.4 Where a booking is split between players, the person who made the booking (the organiser) is
responsible for the full cost of the court. If another player drops out or does not pay their share, the
organiser must cover it.
2.5 The organiser is also responsible for making sure everyone in their group knows about and follows
these terms.
2.6 Member discounts apply only to the member’s own share, and only within the times their
membership covers.
3. Cancellations, no-shows and refunds:
3.1 You can cancel a booking for a full refund if you cancel within the following notice periods before the
start time: Members (min 24 hours before), Guests (min 48 hours before).
3.2 Cancellations made in time through Playtomic are refunded automatically to your original payment
method.
3.3 If you cancel with less notice than shown above, you are not entitled to a refund. You may contact us
at info@padeltide.co.uk, and we may offer a refund or credit at our discretion.
3.4 If you do not turn up for your booking (a no-show), you lose any right to a refund.
3.5 The same cancellation terms apply to coaching sessions and classes. See section 5 for what happens
if we cancel a session.
3.6 Because bookings are for a specific date and time, the 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer
Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply to court bookings, coaching sessions or classes.
4. Memberships:
4.1 Membership benefits, prices and the times they apply are set out on our website and Playtomic at
the time you join.
4.2 Memberships run for the term you buy and end automatically at the end of that term. They do not
renew automatically. If you want to continue, you will need to buy a new membership.
4.3 Memberships are personal to the member. They cannot be shared, and member discounts cannot
be used for bookings made on someone else’s behalf.
4.4 Your 14-day cooling-off right. If you buy a membership online, you have 14 days from the date of
purchase to cancel it and receive a refund. If you have used your membership during that period, we
may deduct an amount for the benefit you have received.
4.5 After the cooling-off period, memberships are non-refundable. If your circumstances change, you
can contact us at info@padeltide.co.uk and we will review each case individually. Any refund or credit is
at our discretion.
4.6 Requests to pause a membership (for example, due to injury or extended travel) are considered at
our discretion. Please contact us at info@padeltide.co.uk.
5. Coaching, classes and junior sessions:
5.1 Coaching sessions and classes follow the same booking and cancellation terms as court hire (sections
2 and 3).5.2 If your coach has to cancel and we cannot provide another coach, you can choose either a full refund
or to move your session to another time free of charge.
5.3 All our coaches and staff working with children are LTA approved and DBS checked. Our LTA Welfare
Officer is James Trevena, who can be contacted through info@padeltide.co.uk with any safeguarding
concern.
5.4 For junior sessions run by Padel Tide, parents and guardians may drop off and collect their children.
Please make sure your child arrives on time and is collected promptly at the end of the session.
5.5 Parents and guardians must tell us about any medical condition, allergy or additional need that
coaches should be aware of before their child’s first session.
5.6 Players under 16 who are not taking part in a session run by Padel Tide must be supervised by an
adult (aged 18 or over) at all times while on site. Players aged 16 and 17 may play without supervision
with their parent or guardian’s consent, but a parent or guardian must still make the booking.
6. Gift vouchers:
6.1 Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Unused vouchers or remaining balances
expire after that date.
6.2 Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash and are non-refundable, except where required by law.
6.3 Vouchers can be used towards court hire, coaching, classes and memberships, unless stated
otherwise on the voucher.
6.4 We are not responsible for lost or stolen vouchers. Please keep your voucher code safe.
7. Court etiquette and facility rules:
7.1 To keep the courts safe and in good condition, everyone on site must follow these rules:
• Wear comfortable, grippy trainers. Padel or tennis shoes with light-coloured, non-marking soles
are strongly recommended.
• Tops must be worn at all times.
• No food or drink on court. Water bottles should be kept off the playing surface.
• Be respectful of other players and visitors, and keep noise and language appropriate.
• Arrive around 10 minutes before your booking so you are ready to start on time.
• Do not overrun your booked session. Leave the court promptly at the end of your booking so the
next group can start on time.
7.2 Late arrival does not extend your booking, and no refund is given for time missed.
7.3 You are responsible for any damage you or your group cause to the courts, glass, equipment or
facilities beyond normal wear and tear.
7.4 You must follow any reasonable instructions given by our staff or coaches.
8. Racket hire:
8.1 Rackets can be hired from the vending machine on site. To hire a racket, you will need to provide
your phone number and payment card details.
8.2 You must return the racket by the end of your booking, in the same condition as when you hired it.
8.3 You are liable for the cost of repair or replacement if a hired racket is broken, lost, not returned or
stolen while in your care. By hiring a racket, you authorise us to charge this cost to the payment card
used for the hire. We will tell you before taking any charge.
8.4 Please report any damage you notice before you start playing, so you are not charged for it.
9. Court closures:
9.1 Occasionally we may need to close a court, for example for maintenance, repairs, a safety issue or
circumstances outside our control.
9.2 If we cancel your booking because a court is closed, you can choose a full refund, a credit, or to
rebook at another time.
9.3 We will let you know as soon as reasonably possible using the contact details on your Playtomic
account.
9.4 We are not responsible for travel or other costs you incur as a result of a closure.
10. Playing at your own risk, health and liability:
10.1 Padel is a physical sport and, like any sport, carries a risk of injury. This includes slips, trips,
collisions with other players, walls or glass, being hit by a ball or racket, and muscle or joint strains. By
playing, you accept these risks.
10.2 You are responsible for making sure you are fit, healthy and able to play. If you have any doubt
about your health or fitness, please seek medical advice before playing. You should stop playing
immediately if you feel unwell or injured.
10.3 You must play safely and with consideration for others. Please report any hazard, spill, damage or
injury to a member of staff, or to info@padeltide.co.uk, as soon as possible.
10.4 We are not responsible for loss of, theft of or damage to personal belongings or vehicles left on
site, except where caused by our negligence.
10.5 We are not liable for any injury, loss or damage that results from you not following these terms,
from your own actions, or from the inherent risks of the sport described in 10.1.
10.6 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our
negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
11. CCTV, photography and your personal data:
11.1 CCTV operates on site for safety and security. Footage is stored securely, is not shared except
where required by law (for example, with the police), and is automatically deleted after 30 days.
11.2 We will always tell you and ask for your permission before taking any photographs or video of you
for social media or marketing. For children, we will ask a parent or guardian.
11.3 We use your personal information to manage your bookings, memberships, racket hire and our
relationship with you, in line with UK data protection law. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect,
use and store your data and your rights.
12. Conduct, changes to these terms and governing law:
12.1 We may refuse entry, ask someone to leave, cancel bookings or suspend or end a membership if a
person behaves in an abusive, unsafe or antisocial way, damages the facilities, or seriously or repeatedly
breaks these terms. In these cases, no refund will be given.
12.2 We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on our website.
Changes will not affect bookings already confirmed or memberships already bought, unless the change
is required by law.
12.3 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales
have jurisdiction.
12.4 If you have a question or complaint, please contact us at info@padeltide.co.uk. We aim to respond
within 2 working days.
